These delicious, festive nut balls are a fantastic way to spruce up your holiday menu.

They are super easy to make, and use only the most natural of ingredients! These can easily take the place of a sugar laden pecan pie – it has all of the elements that make them a go to recipe.

I make them bite size (about one inch) because they are rich and decadent, and just a few will most likely be enough (that’s what I keep telling myself).  One batch usually makes about a dozen of these beauties, but they don’t last long in my house, so I usually make 2 batches at once, especially if we are having company over.

This recipe is gluten free, grain free and vegan. ENJOY!

pecan date holiday balls recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups raw pecans
  • 12 Medium pitted dates
  • 2 tablespoons shredded coconut (unsweetened plus 2 more tablespoons for rolling balls in)
  • 1/4 teaspoon celtic sea salt

Directions

Step 1. Add all ingredients into food processor, and process until well blended and can form balls easily. (About 1 minute)
Step 2. Form into bite size balls and roll into shredded coconut
Step 3. Line up on cookie sheet and place in freezer for 15 minutes
Step 4. Transfer balls to airtight container and place in refrigerator until ready to serve
Step 5. Best if served chilled
