smoothiethumbUm yeah, I take mason jars of these everywhere. I mean, everywhere and anywhere. Seriously, I brought 2 big smoothies to a wedding once. Yup, stashed them in my big purse. My family half expected to see me whip one out, but I had to giggle at their faces when I actually did. (wink!)

The amazing part of it, is that people started asking me for a taste, and actually loved it. My children came over with their crystal wedding glasses for me to pour some in, and sipped on pure goodness, instead of the sugar laden shirley temples all of the other kids were drinking. They did ask to try the shirley temple though, so I ordered one for them. Well, they crinkled up their noses and said “Waaaay tooooo sweet Mom!.” Score!

I have also brought these to work. Like everyday. 2 large jars. It was actually quite funny to see people walk past my office, look in, just to backtrack as they try to get a better look my jar. Most of my co-workers could not get over the color. Green. It is the color of life, right? They eventually (months and months of twisted looks and raised eyebrows later) tried some, and, well of course they liked it. Double score!

Live, Green SMOOTHIES!!  They are nothing short of an intense nutrient injection into your body, and certainly the most tremendous nutritional “bang for your buck” that you could ever consume.

When you blend greens up in your blender, all of the valuable enzymes and nutrients within the greens become much more “bio-available”, meaning that you actually use all of the nutrients.

Green Smoothies are extremely beneficial for the health of the very young, to the elderly, fighting off disease, and enhancing the immune system. Someone is always asking for a smoothie at some point throughout the day weather it is just for a quick snack on the go, or a full meal with a bit more oomph added in such as avocado, chia seeds or homemade almond butter. Love these smoothies!

I use glass straws. Less garbage, cleaner world. ENJOY!
